The last 24 hours have been the hardest for local resident, Kelsie Lee. It was only by accident, that her Cannon R6 Mark II was taken to the local Anthem Goodwill and was sold for $70 to a couple in Anthem.
Kelsie, an aspiring photographer, learned of what happened and immediately went to her TikTok page to share her heartfelt message in an effort to find the people that bought her camera. To her, not only did she spend so long saving to buy this camera but the SIM card that she longs for is priceless.
In an exclusive, Lee stated, " For a long time I’ve wanted to build my love for photography and videography into a vessel for income. It would be a dream come true to turn this passion into a career in the space. A huge step towards that was saving up for and purchasing this camera. It was such a huge accomplishment to be able to buy this camera for myself and by far the most expensive item I’ve ever owned and bought on my own."
Several people in the community posted on our Facebook and social media platforms and we were contacted directly to learn of her story. Her TikTok video has received more than 269K views since yesterday, May 15th afternoon.
The community has come together and has been able to spread the word but we are asking to share her story and her video so we can find the people that bought her camera.
Kelsie bought her camera in January and has used it every chance she has been able to. Lee said, "The SIM card is full of photos of my friends, family and loved ones, trips I’ve had the opportunity to go on and so much more. The SIM card is a digital collection of some of the best moments of my life, and to me, it’s worth all the money in the world. I would do anything to get it back."
So let's share her message to your social media page - #KelsiesCanon - in an effort to locate something that has special meaning to her. In her TikTok video, she was even willing to pay $500 to get her Canon Camera & SIM card back.
